Ethan and Emaleah’s Payson AZ Engagement Session was probably the windiest session I’ve ever done here in Payson. Not quite the windiest ever, but probably top 5.
And let me tell you what: these two are tough, take such good care of each other, were so patient as we worked to find the light AND work with the wind, and were so trusting of anything I asked them to do to make the weather work in our favor. *Dream clients!* And the fact that they are just so dang cute together was icing on the cake.
Ethan and Emaleah met as kids in karate class. Emaleah eventually wasn’t as interested in the karate and their paths didn’t merge together much for a while after that. Then one day Ethan replied to a snapchat about Emaleah’s hair and their paths came back together and now their merging it into one path forward, hand in hand.
I’d just love to take a moment and bring attention to Emaleah’s shoes. Not only were here shoes cute all session long, but as we moved further and further up and on the bluff, she rocked the terrain!
After some time down at the base of the bluff, I pulled out the pop up tent changing pod and Emaleah changed into her Baltic Born dress. The teal against the red granite was absolutely stunning!
They both brought fabulous hats and we worked with them for quite a while, but once we were up on top we were afraid the gusts of wind were going to blow them over the edge. So we opted for a series without the hats. Hey! Added versatility to the gallery, right?!
See, that dress and those rocks were just made for each other! And their hair in the sunlight?! Perfect combos all the way around! Before the session I was able to pick up a wildflower bouquet from Arizona Wildflowers and I love the pop that it added into the session!
Wind isn’t ever pleasant in the moment during a shoot, but it sure adds such beautiful movement in the photos when all is said and done!
These two are as sweet together as they look. You can feel just how much Ethan loves Emaleah with every look he gives her.
And then the sun hit the horizon and we had a slight lull in the wind so we kicked it into high gear and got some of my all time favorite shots to finish off the session with!
Ethan and Emaleah, you two are beautiful together! You have such an at ease and happy energy and it’s an absolute breath of fresh air to be around you. Thank you for making the drive up to Payson and for all your patience and trust as we worked with the wind and cold! You guys are rockstars!!
I can’t wait for October to get here!
