• Nearest town: Forest Lakes, AZ
  • Driving time: roughly 1 hour from Payson, AZ
  • While I do love sharing locations with everyone, there are a few I keep “secret” for my own clients. This exact location is one I only give out to paying clients. Want a session here? Shoot me a message!
• This location is one of our all time favorite finds. It has the beautiful creek with the rocks, green grass, and a big beautiful open meadow with the forest line nearby. This place is a gem of a find in Rim Country!
• Best times of year for this location: Late Spring through Fall. Once it snows this location is not accessible as the forest service closes off the area. Early fall, as the leaves are just starting to turn and the grass is tall is a beautiful time of year here!
• As this location is down in a valley/canyon, the best time of day is early evening with a suggested start time of 2-3 hours before sunset time to be able to capture the forest glow. This location does enable us to keep shooting after the sun has dipped behind the mountain as the sun has not officially set for that latitude and we get a longer glow time post sunset.
