This Payson AZ Family Photo Session was incredible. Can I just pause for a minute and tell you how awesome this family is?! They moved to Payson intending it to be temporary and have stayed as they saw needs they could fill and experiences for their children. They are involved, hard working, kind, talented, and have hearts of gold!
Their family photo session was my first chance to meet the family as a whole (as there are older kids who have struck off on their own adventures now), and it was an absolute treat. They were so supportive of each other, explored the whole bluff, made each other laugh, and had an absolute awesome time together.
And if you ever have any questions about how to coordinate outfits without matching, take them as an example! I love that the colors all work together so well without being super matchy or forced. The fact that the coral, sage, tan, and yellow of my branding colors are in their outfits too might help with my heart eyes over here too. 😉
I didn’t realize she had such natural model poses and ideas! It came to her turn and she lit up and had so much fun!
My kids have 3 favorite babysitters and Elaina is easily in that top group. She is kind, prepared, and draws people in with her warm energy.
That grass!! I couldn’t pass up a chance for a shot in the tall grass. Our summer monsoons made for some of the most beautiful grasses in the fall!
One thing I love about shooting on the bluff is the variety of backdrops and views. It just never disappoints!
Can you tell that shooting through leaves is my favorite right now? Especially when the leaves work so well with their outfit colors!!
I wish I could have duplicated myself for this session to get all the things and exploring going on behind the scenes. I couldn’t snap fast enough to get the portraits and the antics going on. It was fun to share one of our favorite places with these guys and to see them love it as well.
They were snuggled up so naturally as they watched their kids play in the sunlight and on the bluff pillars. It was beautiful to see them so comfortably and happily there together. I couldn’t resist getting a shot or two!
And I have to share some of what Dana shared with me after the session. Her words meant so much!
“My biggest fear would have to have been being disappointed with the final results. I have never spent a lot on professional photos for my family. It is scary to commit and not be certain of wonderful results. My fears were in vain thought. I could not have been more happy with the photos and the whole experience. You put us at ease and listened to what we wanted. You were wonderfully enthusiastic without being overbearing. You made the experience fun. And, of course, the photos were beautiful. We will enjoy them much throughout the years!”
“I think it is amazing to work with someone who genuinely loves what they do. I felt that from you. You were so willing to help us find the perfect spot for our family and our circumstances (some members traveling from out of town). You got excited when you captured a beautiful or fun moment. You encouraged the kids to let their personalities shine. And you said “pooping smile”! Ha ha”
It was an absolute delight working with the Burnett family. I loved every single minute!
Oh good! Me too! I’d love to connect with you!
