This session of Payson AZ Family Photos marks the 6th year of one of my favorite swaps ever. Since 2017 Mikaela and I have done each other’s family photos and it’s one of my favorite Fall traditions. Even though we’ve moved three hours away we knew that we had to keep this swap tradition up!

The first time I took their photos there were only four of them. Now there are 7 people in their family! With two more babies and Mikaela’s sweet sister that has come to live with them, their family has grown a lot in the last 2 1/2 years. It’s so fun to see them all together and watch their interactions.

Oh this is a cute bundle of kids! They are adorable, each one of them!

The way the sun glows behind the oak and juniper trees is just so beautiful. I do love the desert area we’ve moved to, but I’m missing shooting in the trees! It was nice to be back up there for a weekend.

We started oldest to youngest last time, let’s flip that around this time! Ready for some cuteness overload?

Oh this baby is so sweet and cute! Getting to hold her (especially while she napped) was basically a therapy session.

Toddlers at sessions are some of my favorite. You never know what you’re going to get. Last year this boy was unhappy about something the whole time. We couldn’t crack him (that’s a first for me). So we just ran with it. This year he was all over the place and put on all his charm. He was adorable!

These sisters make me so happy. I love their relationship and the joy they bring each other. What lucky ladies to have each other!

And then of course we had to end with some shots of the two of them with the Mogollon Rim in the background with that gorgeous post sunset glow!

(Dallin finished off our time there calling elk. One could be heard in the distance…when the kids were all quiet, lol).

Mikaela…I think when we hit our 10th year swapping family photos we should do something big and grand!! I don’t know what yet. But we have a few years to think on this! Love you friend!
