Allie and Dan’s Desert Botanical Garden Engagement Photos in Phoenix are definitely on my favorites list! These two handled the 105 degree weather like champs and the desert glowed for them in return. It was a beautiful evening with these two.

Dan and Allie both were so easy to visit with and instantly warmed up to the camera. Every couple’s chemistry is unique to them, and I loved seeing how much they adore each other, how safe they feel together, and how solid their relationship feels. You can feel the deep friendship they share! It was beautiful to get to work with them and show that.

Just behind the organ pipe cacti here was a wedding going on. It was sweet to see peeks of it through the cacti arms.

I had only been to the Gardens once before to take behind the scenes photos for a styled shoot, and this was Dan & Allie’s first time. Neither of us had any spots picked ahead of time or even knew totally what to expect apart from what we’d found on Pinterest and some blog posts. There really weren’t any bad spots to stop for photos, so it was fun to really watch for the ones that fit how I like to use light the best!

We had to play for a minute and get the serious model look in there. They were game and nailed it!

I am so glad we ended up in this section of the Desert Botanical Gardens near the end. The setting sun cast the most amazing golden light! It’s exactly what everyone hopes for with desert engagement photos.

Daniel and Allie, I thoroughly enjoyed the evening with you both. You are so natural in front of the camera and make such a beautiful team. Thanks for rambling through the gardens with me! I am excited for your winter wedding and can’t wait! I’m positive you will rock the cold as much as you rocked the heat. It’s going to be such a sweet and amazing celebration!
