Payson AZ Photo Locations: Seasonal Locations

Welcome to my Payson AZ Photo Locations series! This is to help you see possible locations in the Payson, AZ area for your portrait session with Marquette LaRee. Late Spring Poppies

• Nearest Town: Rye, AZ
  • This location is a 15 minute drive from Payson, AZ.
• Season: Late spring, around May.
• Best time of day: Early evening while the poppies are still open. 3ish hours before sunset.

The Aspens in Fall

• Nearest Town: Forest Lakes, AZ
  • This location is a 45 minute drive from Payson, AZ.
• Best time of day: 2 hours before sunset.
• Fall colors vary on their timing, but show up anywhere from early October to early November. If you are set on Fall colors, you may need to have a very flexible schedule to catch them at their peak.

Snow Sessions

• Snow sessions can be done any number of locations around town. On occasion we won’t have snow in Payson but the Rim area will and we can meet there for snow photos.
• Best time of day: Any time of day works fabulous as snow is a great reflector. Early morning or late evening if the skies are clear will make the light less harsh. Any time of day for the snow if the sky is overcast.
