Mogollon Rim Engagement Session: Austin & Stevee

When you are looking for both forest photos and amazing mountains views, you can’t go wrong with this spot for your Mogollon Rim Engagement Session! Austin and Stevee brought their A-game to this session and we were able to produce some of my favorite forest photos yet!

AND! Just wait until you see their sweet pups!

“We’ve never done this before, we’ll need lots of help!” I really do love when couples say that, because that means I have a fresh slate to work with and there are no preconceived ideas of how a session “should” go. It means we get to have fun, play, and just be comfortable. Watching them together and looking at the photos you would think that taking photos together was something they do all the time!

Fun fact…Ponderosa Pine forests are not always photogenic! Because they are so tall and the forest floor is typically so bare, it tends to look empty, dark, and bluish in photos. You have to find just the right spots, and boy did we find the perfect one!!!

Are you ready for the pups?!?! They were so well behaved and so sweet!

Ladies, find yourself a man who will lay on the forest floor with you and hold his legs up to block the sun on your faces so you can get your dream shot! Austin won MVP for this series right here!

Mogollon Rim Engagement Session: Rim Lakes Vista

And then it was time to change spots and get over to the Rim edge for the views and the change in outfits. Stevee studied her Bridal Guide (did you know every Prickly Pear VIP couple gets a bridal guide of their own?!), the blog, and my Instagram to see what colors looked the best at this location and went for this stunning pop of red!

This is my favorite spot for that post sunset glow! You just can’t beat it!

Austin and Stevee, I am so excited for May to get here so we can party again at your wedding!! It’s going to be spectacular!!
