Chris and Kathlene’s Payson AZ Engagement Photos

Before I dive into these Payson AZ Engagement Photos, a little backstory (because around here we love backstories!).

In April I joined forces with Stasha, of Jars & Lace, to host a booth at the Gila Valley Wedding & Event Fair. As part of the booth I had a giveaway running for a free couple’s session. Chris came by with his mom and with Kathlene on a Facetime call so she could see the vendors, the giveaways, and the booths. It was so sweet to see him showing her the fair and looking at ideas together.

I was tickled when Chris circled back by our booth to put some tickets in my giveaway box, and even more tickled after the Fair when I drew out a ticket to see that the winners of the couple’s session was Chris and Kathlene!

The way our schedules worked out, I was already going to be in Northern Arizona the same weekend that they had availability, so we decided to meet up in Payson for their engagement session. It was a treat getting to take them to one of our favorite family hangout spots (I still dream of a home on this hill even though the chances of the Forest Service letting go of this slice of heaven is pretty slim).

Chris and Kathlene have a very serene and comfortable chemistry. They bring out the peace in each other and you could feel that around them immediately.

I loved how their outfits worked out with the light. The early light renders the mountains more blue and the tones cooler, while the pre sunset light gives everything a more warm and pink glow. It worked out so well with her blue dress first and the warm floral dress second!

The views, the calm, and the two of them…it was all just so beautiful!
