Carson and Kyanna’s Star Barn Wedding was sweet from beginning to end! Even the wind that popped up couldn’t keep spirits down or prevent such a beautiful day of celebration. There were so many tender moments!
There is the cutest getting ready rooms at Star Barn. The Bridal suite is so feminine and elegant without being over the top. Beautiful light and space!
Next to the Bridal Suite is the girls prep area. I love the row of mirrors and the sign on the back wall! It was so fun to see the girls all getting ready, helping each other, and getting excited for things to get rolling. Kyanna had the sweetest group of bridesmaids there to help her through the day.
I may have drooled a bit over her bracelet! I’m definitely a sucker for the needlepoint style turquoise, and this was such a beautiful statement piece in her ensemble.
And of course I had to get a shot of the dress in with the incredible backdrop that Stasha put together behind the head table. She ALWAYS works magic!
Kyanna’s dress fit her like a glove. It was absolutely gorgeous! The energy always goes up when the dress goes on! Her mom and sister helped her get her dress and shoes on and emotions grew int he sweetest way.
Then the Bridesmaids got to have their first look at Kyanna!
The Grooms prep area is housed in the same building, but has a totally different style. Still modern and elegant, but masculine and sharp looking!
Carson and Kyanna opted to not see each other before the ceremony, but wanted to spend some meaningful moments together still. They had a First Touch and read letters to each other, just the two of them before getting in place for the ceremony.
The Star Barn has put so much work and thought into their venue and spaces. It is a fabulous gathering place! Combine that with an incredible creative and professional, and you get pure magic! Stasha, of Jars & Lace, transformed the space into Kyanna’s wedding dreams!
The light coming in those western windows was just delicious!
This was the cutest little group of kids!
Does anyone not love this moment?! The groom’s face as his bride walks toward him up the aisle is always one of my favorite moments!
They had the mid-aisle dip MASTERED! It was so beautiful and flawless!
One thing you never know about in Southern Arizona is what the wind is going to do. This wedding party really worked to make the best of it, even with dresses, hair, and flowers flying all over! We got some beautiful sunlit shots and then retreated to find a break from the wind.
We slipped out of Star Barn and went over to Red Knolls for Carson and Kyanna’s Bride and Groom Portraits. A change of scenery is always nice, but we also were hoping to find a bit of a break from the wind by hanging out in the cove.
Wind can be obnoxious, but it sure can add magic to photos! I love what it did with her veil here!
Aren’t these two dreamy?!
We zipped back from the portraits so the party could get started and the Wedding Party could all eat!
The Wedding Party was so full of energy and fun. They were ready to get celebrating. So much so that it took a few times going through the Grand Entrance plans before everyone understood their job. 😆
Kyanna and Carson went from their entrance straight into their First Dance. That post sunset glow is always such a beautiful time for special dances, even in the barn with some added flash here and there for dramatics.
And then it was time to empty the main barn and head to the open barn for games and dancing!
All through dinner tickets were sold in lieu of a Dollar Dance. Each ticket bought you an entry into the Musical Chairs game, competing for a Grand Prize (a signed photo of Carson and Kyanna). This was so much fun and really got everyone involved and excited!
Special dances included Kyanna dancing with her Father and her Step-Dad, Carson with his Mom (I was proud of myself for not crying for once at the Mother dance!), Kyanna with her Mom (not going to lie, I broke down and bawled…it was touching and the song was beautiful) and finally Carson dancing with his sister to a recording of her singing (such a fun surprise!).
To be able to get photos with all of their guests, Carson and Kyanna sat in the middle of the dance floor and guests formed a big circle line. Each group would then run in for a quick photo, and then run out. It was a blast and such a fast and fun way to get photos with each guest!
That Full Moon rising above the building was too much too resist!
I love love LOVE when open dancing starts up at Western Weddings. Give me all the two-steps, country waltzes, and western spins. It’s my favorite to watch and I always wish I had Cameron there to dance with (you know, if I wasn’t working).
These two finished off the night with a fabulous Sparkler Exit and epic night shot in front of Star Barn.
Carson and Kyanna, your wedding day was such a beautiful celebration of you two, your love and story, and your sweet families. It was a joy to be there to celebrate with you and help capture this chapter. You are such a strong couple and have so much going for you together. You have so much goodness to add to the world, and I’m so grateful to know you!
