When snow and muddy roads kept us from their first choice in locations (but I sure tried to get in there!), we shifted plans and used another favorite location for Donnie and Miranda’s Payson Engagement Photos. The Bluff! It never disappoints…but sometimes it does take casualties. A moment of silence for the shoe that didn’t make it out intact. Good thing it was the “commuter” shoe to get up on the bluff and not the heels!
Donnie and Miranda have a comfortable and beautiful love that surrounds them. They are sweet to each other and fit together so well! I loved their friendship and love that was very clearly evident in how they talked to each other, looked at each other, and helped each other. It was beautiful!
While I do love the photos up on the Bluff, I can never resist getting some photos down in the boulders first!
With that terrain, see why I suggest wearing a “commuter” shoe between spots so that there’s no twisted ankles from hiking in heels?! But it’s always worth the extra hassle of switching shoes (and really it’s not a hassle either).
See?! Aren’t they adorable?!
Loved how the breeze caught her dress here!
How sweet is Donnie? He did all this with a bad cold and not feeling well. You’d never know it by the photos. I purposely didn’t mention yet here in the blog post because you’d never guess I’m sure! Even now if you look back I bet you wouldn’t guess it at all. He didn’t whine or complain; he really was a trooper! We didn’t spend as long as normal up on the bluff in order to get him finished quicker, but he still nailed it all through the session.
And…gotta end a Bluff session with the snuggle picture in front of the canyon. It’s always a favorite!
Donnie and Miranda, I can’t wait for the wedding! You both are a delight to work with. And Donnie, I really was so impressed with how you handled being sick during the session…still so so sweet to Miranda and so easy to work with…that’s not always the case, so I appreciate it!), and I was so grateful for how flexible you were while we tried to figure out the location. I’m tickled for you and am even more excited to celebrate with you this summer!
