Marshall and Victoria’s Fall Wedding at Cabins on Strawberry Hill was full of mystic forest romance vibes throughout every detail. It was so fun, loaded with meaning and carefully picked details, and overflowing with emotion. The night before the weather had pounded them with torrential rains, the last of the hurricane remnants that were moving through the state. Their wedding day though was beautifully clear and brilliant.

Victoria hand made the hand-fasting rope to use for their ceremony. It was absolutely beautiful.

You know a veil is epic when it reaches from the top railing almost all the way to the floor of the main level.

Victoria started with a First Look with her Dad. They were so fun together. I loved seeing their silly side and their emotional sides both show up in this moment.

And then as a bonus, we got to do a second Father Daughter First Look. This was a first for me, as it was with the Father of the Groom and Victoria. This wasn’t planned, but both were nearby and it was one of those moments where it felt right to orchestrate it. I got her in place, then offered the moment to Steven, and he didn’t hesitate a moment. He through his walking stick aside and marched in and gave her the biggest hug. They were emotional and excited and it really touched my heart.

And then it was time for Marshall to see his bride for the first time. We decided for a bit of drama and had the Maid of Honor and Best Man open the epic cermony site gates to reveal Tori standing there. Marshall could not quit exclaiming and gushing over his sweetheart.

Then of course it was time for a few Bride and Groom portraits before we gathered the wedding party together.

We of course had to pull in their pups, Thea and Raven, for a family photo!

The plan was for the pups to run down the aisle to Marshall. In practice it went flawlessly…but when the time came there were wayyy too many friends to say hello to as they made their way down the aisle. But you really can’t blame them for wanting to soak in all the attention!
After Thea and Raven, it was time for Victoria to make her entrance with her magnificent bridal cape.

I just love how the forest glowed for these two! It was magical and matched their energy beautifully.

Gosh I love the light for first dances in that post sunset glow! It’s always gorgeous and sets such a romantic scene.

Dinner was catered by Into the Fire Catering, by it’s brand new owner Sean Manske. And it was fabulous. These handmade pizzas were a huge hit and cooked to perfection!

I hear a lot of toasts, and most of them are all so sweet. Every toast from their wedding was beautiful! But there was one that really stuck out to me and my second shooter, Mikaela. We loved hearing Marshall’s father talk about the two mantra’s he tried to instill in him through his childhood, and praised Marshall for holding to them. They are “Always be the good guy, and do the right thing.” Just from the one day I got to spend around Marshall and Victoria, it’s evident that they both strive to be the good guy and do the right things!

The parent dances! Always fun, always sweet, always tug at my heart.

The little cake trend I see popping up lately is so fun and cute! I love how personalized these cakes get while also allowing for multiple types of desserts to be featured.

Marshall and Tori, your wedding day was incredible! All the handmade touches blew me away and added so much meaning and beauty to the day. It was so evident how loved you are and that you guys really are the good guys. You’ve touched so many lives already and I can’t wait to watch and see how you continue to impact the world for good!
