Tired of knowing you need business photos to use online, but feeling overwhelmed? I was too. So I made myself a plan to cut the paralysis and make DIY business photos and content creation easy and I’m sharing it with you!

An Outline Made Just for You

I’ve laid out a series of “assignments” that will give you some great images you can pull to use in your business. BONUS: take photos AND videos with each assignment…now you have static post and short form video (think Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts)!

1. Your Workspace: The Heart of Your Craft

It only makes sense that we start here! Tidy things up, but don’t stress over having a Pinterest Perfect spot. Your people want to see where the real life magic happens! Let’s show it off in all its glory.

BONUS! Get a zoomed out photo of your workspace with you in it: because you’re the soul of your business. A photo with you in your element adds that personal touch people love.

2. Behind the Scenes: Where Work Meets Passion

Let’s dive into action. Whether you’re crafting, typing, cleaning, or creating, show your process in a way that brings your audience right beside you. This is where the timer on your phone comes in handy. Take it up a notch with a simple phone stand. This is the one I have and I LOVE how easy and handy it is. If you want to help a friend out, here’s my referral link and a savings code (so we both win!):  SAVE10.

3. Customer Interaction: Building Connections

Your relationship with your customers is a big part of your story. Let’s capture that, even if it’s in symbolic ways. Remember that zoom calls, phone conversations, written cards, and email are all client interaction!

4. A Finished Product: The Fruit of your Labor

Showcase what you do best. Whether it’s a product or a service, let’s see the result of your hard work and creativity.

5. A Creative Flat Lay: Your Story, Laid Out

Think of a flat lay as a canvas where you paint a picture of your brand. Arrange items that reflect your business’s essence and capture them from above. Don’t overthink it. The more of these you try, the more you’ll catch the hang of it.

With this guide you’re set to bring your brand’s story to life through images that resonate your values and that connect your ideal audience. Remember, the best content is not just seen; it’s felt.
